Donate as a corporation:
As an organisation we have 18A Income Tax status, which means that your donation is tax deductible (South African only). We will provide you with a certificate from us in order to claim your donation from tax. Our financial records are audited annually and submitted to the Department of Social Welfare to maintain our non profit status.
Did you know that Qualifying Small Enterprises ie. businesses with an annual turnover of between R10 and 50 million can earn up to 20 Skills Development points of their BBB-EE scorecard by investing in our work? Download our Fact Sheet to learn more!
Your donation is sustainable and competitive from an investment point of view: while the cost of training 254 graduates (2015 graduate numbers) was R186 million, these graduates will pay R1,2 billion in personal income tax over their lifetime. To date 384 health science graduates have been produced (133 are Doctors). Through our mentoring support programme, our students are achieving exceptional successes - our university pass rate in 2018 was 92%, way exceeding the national average of around 50%.
Donate as an individual:
We gladly welcome every donation no matter how big or small. Since 2019, we have new opportunities for individuals to give a rural student a way out of poverty. All online donations are managed by a very capable, accredited non-profit organisation called GivenGain. These are your options for being a significant part of a life changing opportunity for a young student:
Of course you could also choose to become a fundraiser on behalf of a student: collect donations for your next birthday, marathon or Christmas party. We'll be happy to provide you with further details of the impact of our work, including statistics to share with others as well provide information about an individual student to support.
