I am Sethabile Mnotho Simelane from Ceza, KwaZulu-Natal.

I'm currently doing my third year in Pharmacy at Nelson Mandela University. I have always been interested in helping people who have been diagnosed with various diseases and drugs.

I'm the eldest among six children. Both of my parents are not working; the only money they receive monthly is from my siblings’ grant and the one that my mother gets from selling veggies on the streets.

Last year, I got the bursary from Umthombo Youth Development Foundation, who made the impossible possible in my life by funding all my university expenses including monthly food allowance that is sufficient enough for me and my family, as well as residence fees, school fees, and book allowance.

Umthombo Youth Development Foundation changed my life and my financial situation; I got the bright future ahead of me. I’m so grateful to be the part of the Umthombo Youth Development Foundation and grateful to Aspen for providing funding to UYDF to support me.
