Who we are

The Umthombo Youth Development Foundation has been acknowledged over the years as a sustainable option for addressing staff shortages at rural hospitals. 

The Friends of Mosvold (FOM) Trust was established in 1995 to facilitate health development in the Umkhanyakude district.

We have numerous significant partners including funders, the Department of Health, the community, but the most important, in terms of implementing the programme, is the local hospital.

Our values drive our behaviour, and thus, as we ascribe to these values, we trust they are reflected in our actions.

UYDF identifies, trains and supports rural youth to become qualified healthcare professionals.
